What is African Stand?
African Stand is an AI platform for newsrooms, governments, NGOs, universities, and businesses. It helps you draft, verify, translate, design, and distribute content, while keeping your editorial team in control of what gets published.
Which languages do you support?
Swahili, French, Arabic, and Somali are supported at launch, alongside English, with more African and international languages added as we expand regionally.
Does this replace our website or CMS?
No. African Stand works alongside your existing publishing setup and can schedule stories directly to it — it is a production and distribution layer, not a replacement for your site.
Editorial control & data
Who reviews AI-generated content before it publishes?
Your editorial team does. Every draft, translation, and fact-check is presented for human review before anything is scheduled or published — nothing goes out automatically without your sign-off, unless you choose to configure it that way.
Is our newsroom's content used to train models for other customers?
No. Your stories, drafts, and internal data are used only to serve your own account, not to train shared models for other customers.
Billing & plans
Can we cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time from your account settings; there is no long-term lock-in on the Starter and Professional plans.
Do you offer a free trial or pilot?
Most newsrooms start with a guided pilot on a handful of real stories before subscribing. Request a demo and we will set one up with your team.
What happens if we go over our plan's usage?
You will see a usage notice in your dashboard before any limit is reached. AI image generation, translation volume, and API usage above your plan's included amount are billed separately at transparent per-unit rates.
